Finder Get Into and Disk Utility show different disk space

I'm using Mac OS 13.1 on a 27" iMac from 2019. When I attempted to back up an iPhone using the Finder, I was notified that there was not enough space. When I checked Get Info on my hard disk, it indicated that I had roughly 72 GB free and 920 GB consumed. I'm told that I have 692 GB of open space and that I'm still using roughly 920 GB after removing a 75 GB folder and clearing the trash. Disk Utility informed me that I still have 920 GB free and am only using 72 GB. I then restarted in recovery mode and performed Disk First Aid on the partitions, no problems, but the issue persisted when I booted back into Mac OS.
