sandisk extreme ssd

I've got an Iphone 11 ProMax. Trying to connect a Sandisk 1 TB exteme SSD drive to it, via the Apple lightning to USB 3 connector. It's powered and it won't recognize the sandisk. I just watched a video on youtube about it, which recommended it. The adapter will work with a USB flash drive but I've seen on youtube that all of the external HD's need power, which this adapter provides. I called Apple support and they had no clue, completely useless. I'm trying to easily move files off of my iphone (videos) onto an external HD for video editing. Thanks so much, Jim

Hi, as you mentioned that the SanDisk Extreme SSD is recognized by your Windows computer, I can tell that the file system of the SanDisk Extreme SSD is not compatible with your iPhone. In such a case, either reformatting the disk or replacing the SSD with an Apple-compatible drive is a decent option. You can try one method based on your condition.

Take care~
