Why Is Storage Different In About My Mac And System Report?

When I go to storage in About My Mac it says I have 80.7GBs of free space, this is because I have been deleting some files to make space, however, when I go into System Report > Storage it says my Macintosh HD has only 14.7 GBs free. I've tried Clean My Mac and it says I have the 80 GBs, I restarted my Mac and it still appears the same, I don't know what else to do.

Generally, the free disk space on the Macintosh HD or the external hard drive should be the same no matter the ways you choose to check it. However, the amount of free space in About My Mac is different from that of System Report. The culprits may be the local snapshot of Time Machine, the purgeable space on Mac, system glitches, disk errors, and so on.

You can either remove the purgeable space or utilize iBoysoft DiskGeeker to collect all junk files to delete, then carry on the macOS install task.
