How to Delete An App on MacBook Air？

How to delete an app on MacBook Air? App is currently in the dock and wen right clicking to quit, it won't remove from dock. Next When I went to Launchpad and tried clicking on app and holding for it start jiggling then click x to close but no x is showing to click. Next went to Finder and right click on Applications to Move to trash but this did not delete app neither. An error message box popped up that said "the item can't be moved to trash because it is open". I am unsure how to remove it. Can you please provide detailed instructions how to delete/remove it from my device?

Hello, don't worry, accordong to your situstion, it's easy to fix.

(1)Quit the app with the Apple Menu. Apple Menu > Force Quit.

(2)Quit the app with Activity Monitor. Finder > Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor, search for your wanted app then double-click it, then click Quit.

(3)Uninstall app with effective software like iBoysoft MagicMenu. It allows you to uninstall an app with a few clicks, even for the app and the leftovers together.

  2. Click Extension in the left menu, then find Uninstall App and click the download arrow.
  3. Finder > Applications > Right-click your unwanted app and choose Uninstall > Uninstall > Yes.
