Is there a way to create a text file with the context menu on Mac?

Things I miss a little from my Windows Explorer setup are the context menu items to "create a text file here" and to open a "command prompt here". Especially the first one. I'd like to be able to navigate to a folder and quickly create an empty text file via the Finder context menu (with a creative name such as "untitled.txt") and have that file open immediately in a text editor (ideally one of my choice). I often create little readme text files and I'd like to not have to navigate a possibly deep folder hierarchy more than absolutely necessary. Is there a plugin that provides such functionality or can it be created easily?

Many computer users switching from Windows to macOS could think it is inconvenient to create a new file on Mac given that the context menu on macOS is not powerful as that of Windows. If you want to customize the context menu on Mac, you can try a third-party right-click enhancer such as iBoysoft MagicMenu to create a text file easily.

On a Windows PC, you can quickly create a file by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing a file type. However, when you right-click on Mac, the context menu provides very limited options and doesn't enable you to create any file from it directly. But you can try third-party tools that can customize the context menu to create a text file from it straightforwardly. iBoysoft MagicMenu is such an excellent tool.

It allows you to have more control over the Mac's right-click menu. To your right-click context menu, you may add and configure new file creation, file transfer, quick access, program uninstalling, duplicate file finding, similar photo cleaning, file compressor, image converter, and screen recording shortcuts.

After installing iBoysoft MagicMenu, the New File plugin is pre-installed, you just need to right-click on the desktop, choose New File, and select TXT as the file type, it immediately creates the file on your desktop.

In addition to third-party tools, the easiest way to create a file on Mac, you can also make it with Automator, Terminal, etc.
