Video Files Greyed Out and 0 Kb Size in External Hard Drive

I moved my files from an SD Card to an external drive on my MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, in the moment of moving, the SD card and external drive were disconnected. Now, I lost the files on my SD card. On the external drive, I see them as greyed out and 0 kb (zero bytes) size. Is there a way to restore the lost video files?

The files show 0 bytes in size means that they weren't written to the external drive correctly or the external drive is corrupted. And maybe the files are corrupted too.

If the video files are vital for you, now, using data recovery software is the only way you can try to restore the 0 kb size of files.

iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac is a professional data recovery tool that supports recovering data from corrupted external hard drives.

Here's how:

  1. Download, install, and open iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac on your Mac.
Ensure your external drive is connected to your Mac.
  2. Select the external hard drive on the app's main interface and click Search for Lost Data.
  3. Wait for the scanning process to complete.
  4. Check the results and preview the found video files. If the video files are corrupted in the preview mode, they are in the same state after restoring.
  5. Choose your wanted files and click Recover to save them to a different location.
