NTFS is a read-only file system on macOS by default. There could be an NTFS driver on your MacBook Pro so that you can read and write to the NTFS driver formatted via Seagate's software. It could be an NTFS driver for Mac that came with the Seagate or you installed previously.
If you want to enable NTFS write support on Mac in three ways: Terminal command works on macOS Monterey and earlier, Boot Camp Assistant is available on Intel-based Macs, and NTFS driver for Mac supports all Mac models and most macOS versions.
