My Surface Pro Will Not Boot Up! How to Recover Data?

My Surface Pro 5 will not boot up. I have tried some ways to boot up, like holding down the power button, a combination of holding down the power and volume down buttons, and keeping the device plugged in for 24-48 hours. But they all didn't work. My Surface Pro has already been out of warranty, so I have to pay too much if I turn to Microsoft Support to get it repaired and refurbished. At this point, I don't care if the device works or not, and I just want to recover at least some data from the hard drive. Can anyone help me?

According to your description, you have tried holding down the power button, pressing the key combination to turn on your machine, and recharging your machine. Thus, nothing seems wrong with the hardware on your Surface Pro.

Don't panic! You still have a chance to get data off your unbootable Surface Pro with the professional and secure data recovery utility, iBoysoft Data Recovery WinPE. Start to recover your data by following the instructions below.

  1. Download the bootable media iBoysoft Data Recovery WinPE on a well-functioning computer.
  2. Create a bootable USB drive of iBoysoft Data Recovery WinPE (Check this guide: How to Create iBoysoft Data Recovery Boot Disk to Recover Data).
  3. Plug this bootable USB drive into your Surface Pro.
  4. Change the boot order in the UEFI or use key combinations to boot your Surface Pro.
  5. Select the Data Recovery Mode and choose your Surface Pro drive, then click "Next".
  6. Check the shown lost and deleted files after the scanning process is complete.
  7. Preview these files by right-clicking.
  8. Tick the checkbox in front of your desired files, then click "Recover".
  9. Save the recovered files to a different drive.
