How to Recover Data from an Unmounted SSD?

Had a drive unmount and it won't show up on anyone's computer. Anyone know a service that won't charge me $800? Edit: for those of you telling me to backup, the drive was 2 days old and we had just shot a concert on it, were in the process of capturing and backing up when it unmounted and nothing else worked.

As stated in your statement, I believe there is an issue with your SSD. When looking for SSD data recovery services, you should contact the manufacturer to see if they can provide professional advice or compensation for your data loss.

Because your SSD can't be mounted on any computer, I'm assuming that not only data recovery but also repair is required to some degree. As a result, the price can go up but not down. In my opinion, I paid $1500 for an SD card data recovery on Ontrack at www.ontrackdatarecovery.ca because I have a large number of files and documents that need to be recovered. It's convenient that you can see a list of files that can be recovered before you decide to pay.

So, if you can get SSD recovery for $800, consider yourself extremely fortunate. If $800 is too much for you, you should abandon recovery and use a new SSD for storage. Last but not least, make backup a habit!
