How Can I Stop Windows BitLocker From Encrypting My iPod?

Hi, I've used the iPod on Windows devices with BitLocker turned on, however, the device takes the iPod as an external hard drive and encrypts it automatically, making the iPod unusable everywhere. The behavior varies as Windows uses different iPods: iPod Classic 5th Gen - issues, iPod Touch - no issues, works like a charm, and iPod Nano 7th Gen - issues. How can I stop Windows BitLocker from encrypting the iPod as an external hard drive?

Hi there. You can disable the BitLocker encryption on your iPod with the following steps in the Control Panel: click Start > click Control Panel > click System and Security > and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption. Look for the iPod on which you want BitLocker Drive Encryption turned off, and click Turn Off BitLocker. A message will be displayed, stating that the drive will be decrypted and that decryption may take some time.

Take care~
