If you want to use the WD hard drive on macOS Lion 10.7.5, you have to format it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Just go to Disk Utility > select the hard drive (not a single volume) > click Format in the main window > give your hard drive a name > select Mac OS Extended as its file system > wait for the format to end. Then you can use the WD hard drive on macOS Lion 10.7.5 successfully!
