Apple Spring event in 2023

Unlike the June WWDC and September events, the Apple Spring event is not regular. In other words, it isn't held every year. Just like the Apple Spring event in 2023, Apple Inc. doesn't host it at all.

So the rumors about the 2023 Apple Spring event are not true. The date and announcements of the event were predicated by others a long time ago according to the previous 2021 and 2022 Spring events.

Apple WWDC (June) in 2023

Apple hosted the weeklong 2023 WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) from 5 - 9 June to announce the major breakthrough it made in its hardware products and software upgrades.

Here is the list of the highlights of the Apple event in June 2023:

Announce the revolutionary Apple Vision Pro

The unprecedented Apple Vision Pro is a spatial computer featured with visionOS, working to help users interact with digital content and give them a feel that the digital content is presented in their space. The reveal of Apple Vision Pro indicates that spatial computing will come into public life.

Roll out major software upgrades

The 2023 WWDC also launched software upgrades to Apple Inc.'s main hardware products, including macOS 14 (Sonoma), iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17.

Each new software version is an upgrade to the last one, together with a brand-new interface, new functionalities adding, original features improvements, promoted UI, and bug fixes, bringing you a better experience.

It has to be said that Apple's every system and software upgrade will bring challenges to the third-party applications that you use. Most of the updates of third-party apps may not be on the Apple software upgrade's heels, causing you to fail to use them after upgrading to the latest system on the Apple devices.

Here are some commonly-used apps that are compatible with macOS Sonoma or earlier:

Apple September event in 2023

The September event is just the next Apple event. According to the practice of previous years, the 2023 September event will focus on the next generation of iPhone - iPhone 15 lineup, including the standard iPhone 15, iPhone Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. But the name of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may be changed to iPhone 15 Ultra this year for estimation.

Besides, it is said that the Apple team will make some minor design changes to the appearance of the iPhone 15 series. And the Pro and Pro Max models are estimated to be equipped with an A17 chip and feature periscope lens technology.

Although the Apple September event keynote is usually called iPhone refresh month, it may also publish new generation of the Apple Watch or even AirPods. You may see the release of the Apple Watch Series 9, the Apple Watch Ultra, and the redesigned AirPods this fall.

Apple late fall event in 2023

Unlike WWDC and the fall event, the Apple late fall event is not held as scheduled every year. Just like in the year 2022, Apple Inc. didn't prepare a late fall event.

But in the 2021 late fall event, Apple announced the MacBook Pro models, 3rd-generation AirPods, and newly-added colors for HomePod Mini. So, we can estimate that, if the September event doesn't unveil the latest Apple Watch or headsets, Apple may host a product launch in late October or early November, in other words, the late fall event in 2023.

Also, there's a possibility that Apple will kick off the next generation of Apple silicon - the M3 chip in the 2023 late fall event.
