Mac Pro comes with a silver cover and is soldered with an Apple M2 Ultra chip. As the most powerful Mac server, the Apple M2 Ultra chip enables it with a 24-core CPU with 16 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores, 60-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine, and 800GB/s memory bandwidth.

As for the media engine, Mac Pro comes with hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and ProRes RAW, two video decode engines, four video encode engines, and four ProRes encode and decode engines.

When talking about the memory side, there are three options for you to choose from: 64GB unified memory, 128GB unified memory, and 192 GB unified memory. While it's storage range includes 1TB SSD, 2TB SSD, 4TB SSD, and 8TB SSD.

The display support of Mac Pro is fantastic! It provides simultaneous support for eight displays. Let me put it simply, you're allowed to connect eight displays with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz, six displays with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz, and three displays with u to 8K resolution at 60 Hz.

Mac Pro has Thunderbolt 4 digital video output which offers support for native DisplayPort output over USB-C. It is designed with HDMI display video output/per port to offer support for one display with up to 8K resolution at 60Hz or 4K resolution at 240Hz and variable refresh rate (VRR), HDR, and multichannel audio.

Mac Pro 2023 price and release date

So far, there are two Mac Pro models that you can currently purchase which are shipped on 13, June, 2023. You can find one Mac Pro in tower form, which starts at $7,000, and another in rack form, which starts at $7.500.

Both two models include the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad. The rack version is ideal for server rooms since it can be configured and mounted, while the tower version is better suited for production use and studio use since it has optional wheels and a stand.
