How To Fix The Formatting Error While Erasing SD Cards?

I was in the process of formatting a stack of 30 SDcards with disk utility, the same way I do all the time, which is to insert the card in the sd port on the side of a macbookpro, to erase the partition and format to fat32 because I use the cards for shooting with GOPRO and VIO POVHD cams. Now, about halfway in the process, disk utility starts to give me this error message And now every card I try to format fails like this. If I try to format the card as opposed to the partition, I end up unformatting the card and it needs to be initialized again. I really didnt change anything, and I cant see all my cards being deffective. I can still play footage straight from the cards, so I suspect something went wrong with the utilitty software. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi there, as for the formatting error that happens when erasing the SD cards, the simplest way is to reboot your Mac and then continue the erasing work one more time. If this solution fails, it might be the fault of the SD card slot. Go out the buy a new SD card reader rather than replacing or fixing the SD card slot. The cost to repair or replace an SD card slot can be very high since you need to replace the whole logic board.

Hope the SD card formatting process goes well~
