[Fixes] Recover Original Files after Being Replaced by A New One

I accidentally dragged the same name folder and replaced an original one. It is my illustrator file and picture file, so important for me, is there any way to recover them? I have tried Disk Drill and Time Machine, but nothing works.

Hello, sorry about your experience, but don't worry, your files can be recovered. If you haven't enabled any cloud storage or the app autosave function, you are suggested to utilize the Apple-trusted tool, iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac, which can recover your data without any cloud storage.

  1. Use iCloud backup(you turned it on before). Sign in to iCloud.com > Account Settings > Restore Files > Preview and choose the ones you want to restore.
  2. Use Time Machine(you enabled it before). Time Machine > Browse the timeline to choose your wanted ones then click Restore.
  3. Try the app's native restore function. Open the app to find the settings then download the files.
  4. Utilize iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac(if no cloud storage). Download, install, and open it > Select your Drive you stored your lost data and choose Search for Lost Data > Preview and choose the files then click Recover to another place.

Hope you can your files finally. Best wishes.
