How to Recover a Pages File After Being Replaced on Mac?

I accidentally replaced a Pages file with another file of the same name. Is there any place in my machine where the original file is still present? Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm running Pages 4.3 on a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion.

Absolutely you can recover it if you try these fixes:

( 1 )Recover replaced Pages with the Revert to option. Firstly, open the present/replaces document version in Pages, then File > Revert To > Browse All Versions > Choose your wanted and click Restore.

( 2 )If you enable any cloud storage. Open iCloud or Time Machine to find your wanted ones.

( 3 )Try powerful and professional apps to get back. iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac is an Apple-trusted software that can recover 1000+ types of files, try to find Pages documents if Fix 1 and 2 don't work.

  1. Free download, install, and open iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac.
  2. Select your storage device where you store Pages in the left menu, then click Search for Lost Data.
  3. Filter the scanning results, tick the wanted ones, and click Recover to save them to a different location.

Hope you can get back the Pages.
