How to clone macOS Ventura to an external hard drive?

Hi, I have been trying to figure out how to clone macOS Ventura for my Mac Studio. Since we haven’t been able to properly clone, we intend to upgrade folks from iMacs to Mac Studio. Although I have the most recent version of Carbon Copy Cloner, which is meant to clone macOS Ventura, it doesn’t boot up properly. Disk Utility has been attempted, however it consistently returns an error. Has macOS Ventura for Apple Silicon computers been successfully cloned?

Have you erased the external hard drive before the cloning? If you haven’t, try to completely erase the external hard drive and use Carbon Copy Cloner again. If it still fails, you can switch to another cloning software for Mac.

In addition, to clone the OS and the data on your Mac to an external hard drive, you can also use the Disk Utility to create a disk image, or create a bootable disk for macOS Ventura, the later is best for installing macOS Ventura on multiple Macs.
