What To Do When The Saved Pages Document Disappeared On A Mac?

I thought I had made a copy of a document I wanted to use as a template for an unrelated subject. When I got done with the new document, however, and went to open the original one I discovered it no longer existed. I've looked at the instructions for how to recover a prior Version, but when I put my cursor over the title of the open document it doesn't show me any other versions. Can anyone help me recover my original document? It wasn't backed up by a Time Machine or to the cloud. I'm currently using Pages '09 version 4.3 on my Mac.

Hi there, since you haven't backed up your computer with Time Machine nor there is no previous version of the saved Pages document, I guess you need to utilize professional data recovery software to scan the whole hard drive for it.

iBoysoft Data Recovery Software is highly recommended here. It can scan the hard drive thoroughly for deleted, lost, or missing files effectively.

By the way, you'd better back up your computer by using Time Machine or iCloud storage to avoid unexpected data loss.
