Apple Events October 2021

On October 18, 2021, Apple unleashed new products including the rumored MacBook Pro with M1 Pro/M1 Max chip, AirPods 3, and HomePod mini in new colors. It is such an exciting time for Apple fans. The long-awaited moment finally arrived. So, let's unveil the mystery of these new products to have a deeper understanding of them.

Apple Music Voice Plan

The new Apple Music Voice Plan is designed exclusively for Siri. It gives you access to 90 million songs, tens of thousands of playlists, and hundreds of new mood and activity playlists for a reasonable price.

HomePod mini

Except for the previous white and space grey colors, Apple adds other three bright colors for the HomePod mini - yellow, orange, and black, 5 colors for you to choose from. HomePod mini costs $99 and is available on Apple's website. HomePod mini with new colors will be officially released in November.

HomePod mini is a small version of HomePod, only 3.3 inches tall and 3.9 inches wide. It is equipped with an S5 chip to analyze the music that's playing and adjust the loudness, and dynamic range in real-time. The inside single full-range driver can result in deep bass and crisp high frequencies. HomePod mini can identify different voices to provide a personal experience.

AirPods

The new AirPods are the third generation of Apple wireless earphones. From the first glance of its appearance, the AirPods 3 seems like AirPods Pro without silicon tips. AirPods 3 features shorter stems and oblong buds. Then, there are some new highlights in its Functions.

First of all, AirPods 3 adds spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, placing sound all around you, making you feel more immersive, and Adaptive EQ, tuning the sound delivering to your ears in real-time based on how AirPods fit in your ears. The new AirPods can also mute the breeze to make the voice always loud and clear when you are on a call, deliver HD quality for FaceTime, etc.

What's more, be the same with AirPods Pro, the new AirPods are sweat- and water-resistant for non-water sports and exercise. AirPods 3 has longer battery life. With it, you can listen for six hours and talking the phone for four hours. Five minutes' charging can provide one hour of battery life. It supports MagSafe, wireless, and Lightning charging. The price of AirPods 3 is $179 and will begin to ship out on October 25.

MacBook Pro

After months of waiting, the redesigned MacBook Pro debuted this morning. Accompanied by the new MacBook Pro, M1 Pro, and M1 Max, the successors of M1, Apple silicon, also made their appearances. Here, we are going to walk through these breakthrough changes.

M1 Pro and M1 Max are designed for the pro series of MacBook. They will bring us a scary fast experience with an up-to-10 core CPU, and achieve the PC chip's peak performance at up to 70 percent less power.

The new MacBook Pro provides two models to choose from - 14 inches and 16 inches. Each can be configured with an M1 Pro M1 Max chip, with prices ranging from $1499 to $6099. And it is available in Silver and Space Grey.

The previous ports are back. There are more ports available, including three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SDXC card slot, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack.

MacBook Pro features a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display. And there is a notch out of the top of the display for the webcam. It integrates a 1080p camera with functions of computational video, noise reduction, face detection, local tone mapping, auto white balance, and Smart HDR. But Face ID is not supported.

On the new MacBook Pro, the Touch bar is replaced by physical keys. And the background color of the keyboard has changed to black, being more visually integrated with the keyboards.

Apple gives the new MacBook Pro a battery life boost. 14-inch and 16-inch Macbook Pro are up to 17 hours and 21 hours respectively. And 30 minutes on the charger should get you 50% of battery life.
