My Files Cannot Be Restored by iCloud, What Can I Do?

Hello, everyone. By accident, I deleted many files in iCloud, but I got the message “the files were not able to be restored” when I tried to recover them in iCloud Data Recovery.
I restarted, logged out of iCloud, and used different browsers. However, nothing works. Can you help me?

As you say, you tried to restore them in the iCloud, so why not just check your Trash? Any data that you delete from iCloud should appear there too. Let’s check your Trash first.

Trash > Right-click them > Put back.

If they are not there, you can consider recovering the files with Time Machine, or other professional recovery tools.

For Time Machine(you set an external drive to store data there), Time Machine > Use the arrows and timeline to view your backups > Select your wanted file and click Restore at the bottom.

It seems like your account has some issues which lead to iCloud Data Recovery fails.
You’d better recover the data first and contact Apple Support directly for help.
Or you can sign out your Apple ID in System Settings.
Or maybe your storage is so full that your Data recovery doesn’t work, you can check and clean your Mac to free up more space.

Sad news! I didn’t do any backups with Time Machine and the Trash is empty. :sob:
