My deleted files don't exit in OneDrive storage, how can I recover them back on Mac?

Hi, I deleted recent files and trash about one month ago. After that, I noticed my saved files in onedrive storage did not exist. I need help to recover my files. I am seeking help.

I hope everyone knows that OneDrive sync is not equal to cloud storage. Sync means the server follows the modifications made on your machine, that is to say, when you delete a file on your Mac computer, it is deleted from the sync server as well. So if you want to store your files online, you have to upload them to a cloud storage server instead of a cloud sync server.

For the files deleted from your Mac, you can follow these steps to have a try:

:one: Sign in to your OneDrive account on the OneDrive web interface.

:two: In the left-hand menu, click on the “Recycle bin” option.

:three: In the Recycle bin, you should see the files that were deleted from your desktop.

:four: Locate the files you want to recover.

:five: Select the files by checking the checkboxes next to them.

:six: Click the “Restore” button at the top of the page.

If the deleted files aren’t there, I guess you are out of luck losing all the files.
