How to Install macOS on VMware Fusion on Mac?

I need to install macOS Ventura on VMware Fusion on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro. I found some videos on the internet, but they install macOS on Windows.

I just need to run some tests, so installing on a virtual machine is my best choice. I’ve downloaded the ISO file, but still VMware can’t seem to see it.

Can you help me install the macOS on VMware on my Mac?

Here are the steps to install macOS Ventura on VMware Fusion on a Mac:

  1. Download VMware Fusion.
  2. Download the macOS Ventura DMG file.
  3. Open VMware Fusion.
  4. Drop the macOS Ventura DMG file ot the section “Install from disk or image.”
  5. Ensure the DMG file is selected and click Continue.
  6. Choose the right version.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Save the virtual machine.
  9. Choose a language.
  10. Click “Install macOS Ventura” > Continue.
  11. Follow the instructions to install macOS Ventura.
  12. After the macOS is set up, shut down the virtual machine.
  13. Click the tool icon (Edit Hardware settings).
  14. In Processor and Memory, allocate a reasonable amount of RAM and CPU. For example, if your Mac has 16GB of RAM and 4 cores, assign it 8GB of Memory and 4 processors.
