How Can I Get a macOS High Sierra ISO File?

My MacBook Air runs macOS High Sierra.
How to extract the macOS High Sierra ISO file from that?
I want to install High Sierra on a Windows computer.

Even though your Mac runs macOS High Sierra, you can’t directly get it from your Mac. You can either search for and download the macOS High Sierra ISO file from your browser or download the macOS High Sierra installer from the App Store and use it to create an ISO file.

To obtain the macOS High Sierra ISO file for Windows, please visit the macOS High Sierra ISO download center.

Or, you can download the macOS High Sierra DMG file from iBoysoft DiskGeeker and then run the commands in Terminal to convert the DMG file to an ISO file.

  1. Download iBoysoft DiskGeeker and open and install this app on your Mac.
  2. Select “Download Image” from the left sidebar, choose “macOS High Sierra”, and click “Download Image.”

After the macOS High Sierra DMG file is downloaded, follow these steps to convert the macOS DMG file to an ISO file:

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Enter hdiutil convert and press a space.
  3. Drag and drop your macOS High Sierra DMG file into the Terminal window
  4. Press a space and enter -format UDRW -o
  5. Press a space and then type ~/Desktop/HighSierra.cdr to save your converted High Sierra .cdr file to the desktop.
Here’s an example of the entire command:
    hdiutil convert ~/Desktop/HighSierra.dmg -format UDTO -o ~/Desktop/HighSierra.cdr
  6. Rename the extension of the .cdr file on your desktop to .iso, for instance: HighSierra.iso.
