Help! Can't write to external hard drives after Ventura upgrade

Before upgrading to macOS Ventura, my external hard drive worked fine, and I could read and write without any issues. However, after upgrading to Ventura, I can only read data from the drive and can’t write to it. The drive is formatted in APFS, but every time I try to write files, I get an error message preventing me from doing so. Anyone can help me?

Your APFS drive might be corrupted, as the update could have damaged the APFS structure, causing write failures. You can open Disk Utility, select the external drive, and click First Aid to repair it. Once the process is complete, try writing files again.

I’m sorry to say that you should format your disk if it is damaged. You can check if your disk is damaged using Disk Utility. Click First Aid > Run to let macOS scan and attempt to repair any disk errors. Once the process is complete, if you see a message like “The disk is corrupted” or “Unable to repair”, there may be serious issues with the disk, and you might need to format it.

Before formatting, make sure to recover any important files. When my disk was damaged, I used iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac to recover my data successfully. Download iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac if necessary.
