Can I run a windows based software on Mac?

I bought a new Macbook Pro. I am very happy to finally have a Macbook. My other Windows laptop is currently damaged and in repair. But, I need to use software for my work and apparently, it runs only on Windows. I would like to know if I can run that software on Mac anyway. I asked my friends and they were giving very contradicting answers. The software is compatible with Windows 7 and is developed on the .net platform. I would appreciate your suggestions and advice. I am anticipating a positive reply. I will have to find another way if I can’t run it on the MacOS. Thanks!

Generally speaking, you can run Windows software on Mac by building a virtual environment on Mac. However, the Boot Camp Assistant is turned off on Apple silicon Macs, so the only way to build a virtual environment for Apple Silicon Mac users is to use a virtual machine like Parallel Desktop, VirtualBox, or VMware. You can try one way based on your Mac models to proceed with your work. Good luck~
