Hello, I have a Mac with another Apple Cinema Display. However, I found the cinema display is dimmer than my Mac and sometimes it has some vertical lines on the screen.(the line disappeared two weeks ago but still dimmer)
What can I do?
It sounds like your camera display is so old, depending on when it was purchased, and it seems to be nearing the end of its lifespan.
Since it’s now classified as a vintage model, Apple might offer to test it, but repairs are unlikely even if possible. The monitor has served well, but it might be time to consider a third-party replacement.

- Check brightness settings. Make sure Automatically adjust brightness is turned off in Apple menu > System Settings > Display.
- Reset the SMC.

Okay, I tried another new M2 Mac mini and connected the Cinema Display. Surprisingly, it’s as bright as it used to be! Maybe the Mac version is so old.
