If you're a Mac user looking for a better way to manage your emails, the built-in Apple Mail is a great option. However, it's not the only choice. Many third-party apps offer more functionality, features, and customization.

When choosing an email client for your Mac, there are several important factors to consider to ensure the client meets your needs, including user interface and design, support for popular email services, advanced features and integrations, security and privacy features, quality of life improvements, cost and support, etc.

Taking these factors into account, we test a dozen email clients for Mac, we set up personal and work email accounts in each app to test them with real-life usage. After using the apps for a week or so, compare their performance and which one feels more efficient for my workflow.
