How to Recover Data from a Partially Formatted Bitlocker Drive?

When I formatted my 8TB SATA drive (a Bitlocker encrypted drive but I have keys and passwords)for around 1-2 seconds, I stopped. Can I find my data? Please help me.

What version is your Windows? What tool did you use to format?

If the BitLocker encrypted drive is formatted in Disk Management or Windows File Explorer on Windows 11/10/8/7/Vista, the BitLocker metadata of the drive is erased too. If your case is like this, it is sad this situation is beyond the ability of any BitLocker data recovery software or services.

But if your computer is Windows XP or you formatted by a third-party formatting tool, you can recover data from a professional Windows data recovery software: iBoysoft Data Recovery for Windows. It enables you to quickly and easily recover lost files from your partially formatted Sata Bitlocker drive. So please free download and recover your files now.

  1. Free download, install, and launch iBoysoft Data Recovery.
  2. Select the BitLocker Recovery module, choose your formatted Sata encrypted drive, check the deep scan option then click Next. You should enter your password or recovery key in the next step.
  3. After the scan completes, your lost files on the partially formatted drive will be listed.
  4. Preview the found files and click your wanted ones to Recover them.
