Can I recover files without Time Machine

One of the utilities, I believe, allowed you to recover files prior to Time Machine. Now, all of the possibilities when searching for "recover files" in Help entail using Time Machine, both with and without Spotlight. I want to try recovering a deleted folder even though I don't have a backup drive to utilize Time Machine on. Without a time machine, how can I do that now?

Although Time Machine is Apple's solution to back up and restore your Mac, however, some Mac users haven't backed up the files or the Mac with Time Machine, so they can't restore files with Time Machine when they want to recover deleted/lost files on Mac.

Relax, there are some other ways you can try to recover deleted files on Mac without using Time Machine:

  • Restore deleted files from Mac Trash if you haven't emptied them yet.
  • Press Command - Z when the deletion is your last reaction.
  • Restore your files from iCloud Backup.
  • Run data recovery software to recover files that are not overwritten.

If there is no backup to use and you have already emptied the Mac Trash, third-party data recovery software is what you can try. iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac is a good choice. It scans your Mac hard drive and searches for deleted and lost files, you can filter and preview the scanned results, and recover the wanted files with ease.
