How to Recover 0 KB Size Files on macOS?

Hello everyone. I moved (yeah I know I should've copy instead of moving) my files from SD Card to External Drive and in the moment of moving all disks was disconnected. No I don't have these files on my card and on the external drive I see them as greyed out and 0 Kb size. Is there a way to recover the files. They also not in the Trash.

First, check if the files are opened or used by two or more programs simultaneously, which might cause the Finder to show the files as 0 bytes. If this is the issue, you should quit the programs first, and then check whether the Mac files still show zero bytes or not.

If the above method is useless, don't worry. Though the files show 0 bytes, the content is still there, which also means the file is not transferred successfully from the SD card. Then you can use a professional Mac data recovery app to retrieve these 0 kb files.

iBoysoft Data Recovery is professional Mac file recovery software that could help you to recover 0 kb size documents, photos, videos, emails, music, etc. from hard drives, external hard drives, USB drives, memory cards, and sd cards on Mac.

This 0 kb file recovery software is compatible with macOS 13 Ventura, macOS 12 Monterey, macOS 11 Big Sur, macOS 10.15 Catalina, macOS 10.14 Mojave, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, macOS 10.12 Sierra‎ , and earlier Mac OS X 10.11, and it works fine on M2, M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max Mac. To recover your 0 kb files from the SD card on Mac, do the following:

Step 1: Free download and install iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac on your Mac.

Step 2: Launch iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac, and connect the SD card to your Mac.

Step 3: Select Storage Device or Disk Image under Data Recovery and Click Search for Lost Data to start scanning.

Step 4: Filter recoverable files by different categories, here you can choose the video category. Then preview the scanning results, choose the video files you want to recover and click "Recover" to retrieve them from the SD card.
