How do I find and remove duplicate photos on Mac? Help!

I'm running macOS 12.4 Monterey. My iCloud storage is almost full, so I'm thinking of removing the duplicate photos on my Mac to free up some space. But I don't have time to manually delete my 13 years of photos. Any ideas on how to find and remove duplicate photos on Mac quickly?

Upgrade to macOS Ventura if your Mac is compatible with it. The Photos app on macOS Ventura includes a duplicate detection feature that can automatically identify duplicate photos and move them to the Duplicates album in the left sidebar.

You can find more details in this article: Fix Ventura Photos Duplicates Not Showing & Remove Duplicate Photos

However, if your Mac doesn't support macOS Ventura, you'll need a third-party duplicate photo cleaner. I recommend you try iBoysoft MagicMenu if you want to right-click on a folder to find and remove the duplicate photos inside it.

After the search process is complete, this tool will automatically select the duplicate photos and display the original copy alongside them for you to check. You can deselect the photos you want to keep and browse the duplicates based on the creation dates.

It also shows you the number of selected photos and the space you can free up.
