How Do I Uninstall Applications in OSX 10.10.5 and 10.11

In the OSX 10.10 and 10.11, the Applications folder has vanished from the Finder sidebar. So how do I uninstall unwanted applications?

You can reset Finder sidebar preferences to let the Applications folder show up again. Open Finder, move to the top Finder menu, then click Finder > Preferences, select Sidebar, and then tick Applications under the Favorites section. Then, you can open the Applications folder from Finder and uninstall apps.

Also, you can go to Launchpad to uninstall apps on your Mac. In Launchpad, hold down your unwanted app's icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click the delete button of the target app.

You can also check if the app has a built-in uninstallation button, then delete it with the built-in uninstaller.
