What to Do If Right-click Using Wireless Mouse Won't Work

I connect two wireless mice to my MacBook, but neither can right-click properly. I have checked System > Mouse but there is no option to turn on the right-click function for each mouse. What’s the problem?

What settings can you find in the mouse settings on your MacBook? In mouse settings, the secondary click means the right-click. To enable right-click for your wireless mouse, follow these steps:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Mouse.
  2. Click on the Point & Click tab.
  3. Check the Secondary click option. Then, click the arrow to open the drop-down menu below and select Click on the right side.

Now, you can right-click your wireless mouse to right-click on your MacBook.

If right-click is not working on your Mac yet, try to reconnect the wireless mouse to your Mac, restart your Mac, reset SMC, and update your Mac until the problem is fixed.

Although you have two different wireless mice, maybe both of them are faulty. Try another mouse or use the trackpad to right-click to see if the two mice are damaged.
