Something wrong with my Safari display after upgrading to macOS Tahoe

I bought my first MacBook in 2024 after using an iPhone and iPad for several years. I decided to switch to macOS because I wanted a reliable, user-friendly operating system after trying Linux.

Since upgrading to macOS Tahoe (version 26), however, I’ve encountered some frustrating interface issues, particularly in Safari.

Some browser tabs have white text on a white background, making their titles nearly impossible to read. The menu items also appear grey and difficult to distinguish. These display issues make Safari less usable than I expected.

I’m not sure whether this is a known macOS Tahoe bug, a Safari-specific issue, or something related to my system settings.

Has anyone else experienced similar Safari display problems after upgrading to macOS Tahoe? Is there a reliable way to fix the text and menu contrast without reinstalling macOS or switching browsers?

I’d appreciate any troubleshooting suggestions or workarounds.

the issue might be related to the user’s settings. Check your macOS and Safari settings.

You can consider using other browsers to check if this issue still exists.

My personal experience for your reference: macOS Tahoe has been stable since upgrading to version 26.4. Consider upgrading your macOS Tahoe to version 26.4.

If the issue still persists, download and install macOS 27 (the latest macOS version) to have a try.

in case the mentioned solutions didn’t work you, just record the exact conditions.

Note the Mac model, macOS version, Safari version, whether the issue affects all windows or only certain tabs, and whether it started immediately after upgrading. Include a screenshot if possible and turn to Apple support for professional help.
