Even having run Macs for a long time, I still feel unsatisfied about its inconvenience in creating new folders. People who use Windows must know that creating a new folder on PC is as easy as ABC, while for Mac, it is much more step-wasting. So, I wanna if any method or toolset is allowing me to create a new folder on Mac with just a few clicks, like right-click on the blank space of the Mac desktop and select New Folder, then the new folder is created successfully?
No, Mac doesn’t allow users to right-click for creating a new folder directly. Instead, you have to follow thesis steps to finish the new folder creation:
Step 1: On your Mac, click the Finder icon in the Dock to open a Finder window, then navigate to where you want to create the folder.
Alternatively, click the desktop if you want to create the folder on the desktop.
Step 2: Choose File > New Folder, or press Shift-Command-N.
If the New Folder command is dimmed, you can’t create a folder in the current location.
Step 3: Enter a name for the folder, then press Return.
After that, a new folder with the name you give is created on your Mac machine.
