My MacBook Pro 16" 2023 Apple M2 is compatible with macOS 27 Golden Gate, but I can’t download it. I’m currently running macOS Tahoe 26.7. Is this a bug?
If your Mac supports macOS 27 Golden Gate but your system can’t find the update, it’s usually due to network issues, server overload, or temporary glitches.
Check the internet first. Ensure your WiFi is working properly and not in low data mode. Go to System Settings > Wi-Fi, click on the Details button on the right side of your connected network, and make sure the setting “low data mode” is off.
Download macOS 27 from Terminal. Instead of updating from Software Update, download the macOS 27 full installer from Terminal and install it manually.
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 27.0.1
Change 27.0.1 to the latest version if a new update is available.
