How to Upgrade OS X 10.9 to 10.11?

I have a MacBook Air running macOS 10.9.5, but the software I want to use requires version 10.11.x. The only installer I can find is for 10.11.1, which won’t work because it requires 10.11.0 to be installed first. Does anyone have a link to the 10.11.0 installer? Thanks!

Hello, glad to help you.

To upgrade from OS X 10.9 to 10.11, follow these simple steps:

  1. Back up your data using Time Machine.
  2. Download OS X El Capitan from Apple’s official support page.
  3. Once downloaded, run the installer from your Applications folder and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your Mac will automatically restart, and OS X 10.11 will be installed.

Hey, the link is here. Maybe you can use it as a reference: Download OS X EI Capitan 10.11.6

If you cannot install it with this link, it’s more difficult you should reinstall macOS.
Be careful to backup all the data before reinstalling.

Haha, it’s easy if you follow the steps here.
There are full installers of OS X 10.11:

Hope your software can work at last.
