How to Recover Data on an SSD Drive from a Dead 2020 MacBook Pro?

I accidentally dropped a few drops of water on the trackpad of my 13" 2020 MacBook Pro.

I shut down my Mac immediately and wiped it down. I then left it to dry up for 72 hours, thinking that will do the trick. But when I turn it back on, it has no sound, just a black screen and nothing. I presume that some of the water got inside and fried my Mac.

How can I recover data on the internal SSD hard drive?

Can you still enter macOS Recovery Mode? Power on your Mac and immediately hold down the Command + R keys until you see the Apple logo.

If not, you’re unlikely to get any of the data back by yourself. Find a professional recovery service to recover the data if it’s essential. Note that it may be expensive.

If you can, recover the files from Recovery Mode with iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac.

Are there other storage media that contain the data you need? For instance, if you just need some photos you uploaded from an SD card, which is now formatted, you can try recovering them from that SD card instead.
