The logic board of my 2011 2.2 GHz Macbook Pro 15" is dead. It can’t get past any load menu. I can access the user profiles, type in my password, and then it loads to a white screen and shuts off about 30s later. I have a 256GB SSD used as the main drive and a 750GB HDD as storage. Now, how can I get all the data from the SSD?
BTW, I can still access Safe Mode or Recovery Mode.
The easiest way to recover data from your Mac is through Recovery Mode. There’s one tool able to retrieve files from Recovery Mode: iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac.
A more complicated method is to connect your Mac with another functioning Mac through a Thunderbolt cable via Target Disk Mode. This way, your Mac will appear as an external drive in the other Mac, and you should be able to access its files.
