How to clean antivirus app from my Mac? They disrupt Mac downloading frequently!

I have downloaded an antivirus software on my Mac to protect it from malware, viruses, spyware, and spamware attacks. However, I find it always recommends me to remove the apps I have downloaded from third-party software developers or websites, that’s annoying, since I need these software to complete my mission. So does anyone know how to remove this antivirus software from my Mac? Thansk anyway!

You do not need any antivirus software since Apple has configured Mac with advanced antivirus software protecting your Mac from danger, so it’s a good idea to remove the third-party antivirus software from your Mac. You can go to Finder > Go > Applications, find the app you want to remove, then right-click it to select Move to Trash. After that, the app will be moved to Mac Trash. Followingly, you ought to access these file paths to remove the related files on this app:

  • ~/Library/: for library files

  • ~/Library/Caches/: for application caches

  • ~/Library/Preferences/: to find your preference files

  • ~/Library/Application Support/: for application support files

  • ~/Library/Application Support/CrashReporter/: for all the old crash reports

  • ~/Library/Saved Application State/: to find saved app states

Once the app and its related files are moved to Mac Trash, go to empty the trash. From here, the app and app files are removed from your Mac ocmpletely.

Simply moving the antivirus to Mac Trash only removes the app itself, but leaves the app files including caches, system preferences, system logs, user profiles, packages, support files, launch helpers, etc. on Mac, so you have to remove them, then the uninstall can be complete. Here I recommended a professional app uninstaller that I have used on my Mac for a long time, that is, iBoysoft MagicMenu. It removes the app all along with its all related files with ease, so you can give it a shot to uninstall the antivirus software here:

Step 1: Download and install iBoysoft MagicMenu on your Mac.

Step 2: Launch this handy app uninstaller and search the Uninstall extension in its main window to have a download. Note that iBoysoft MagicMenu only takes a little space and so does the Uninstall function, which nearly does not influence your Mac.

Step 3: Go to Finder > Applications, locate the app you don’t need, then right-click it to select Uninstall from the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Wait for this professional app remover to gather all associated files of the will-be-uninstalled app. Once it finishes, check the useless files to let them be removed along with the app.

Step 5: Click Uninstall to confirm your actions and initiate the uninstall progress. This progress may take up to several seconds.
