How do I delete an app on my MacBook Air (Running Tahoe 26)

I’m using macOS Tahoe 26 on my MacBook Air, and even something as simple as removing an app has turned into a frustrating experience.

I searched online for help, but the instructions I found didn’t work. I’ve used Apple products for years, but this really makes me feel lost. So… what’s the proper way to uninstall an app on a Mac now?

You’re definitely not the only one confused by this. Apple has removed Launchpad on macOS Tahoe and replaced it with Apps.

So, you may be not farmiliar with this new utility. Actually, you can uninstall apps on a Mac in this simple way:

  1. Open Finder > the Applications folder.
  2. Move the app you want to delete to the Trash or right-click it and select Move to Trash.

I have to mention to you that most third-party apps can’t be completely uninstalled with the simple move-to-trash action. The associated files may remain on your Mac.

To uninstall an app and its leftovers, you’d better use a professional Mac app uninstaller.

I’ve used iBoysoft Cleaner to help completely uninstall all unnecessary apps. This Mac cleaner can also scan the leftovers of apps that have already been removed and enable you to delete them with one click.
