Can't Access Files on BitLocker-encrypted USB Drive on Mac

I tried to open a file on a USB flash drive that is encrypted using BitLocker on my MacBook Pro 13", unfortunately, I failed. Any solutions? Thx!

BitLocker is a disk encryption feature in Windows. It is used to protect your data by encrypting the entire drive.

Since BitLocker is a Microsoft technology, Apple’s macOS doesn’t have native support for opening or managing BitLocker-encrypted drives.

If you need to access files on a BitLocker-encrypted drive, you can connect it to a Windows PC that supports BitLocker, including Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education, Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, and Education, and Windows Server (2008 and later).

Next, enter your BitLocker password or recovery key to open the USB drive. After that, you can feel free to read files on it.

It is easy to open a BitLocker-encrypted USB drive on a Mac. Just use iBoysoft BitLocker for Mac.

This tool enables you to seamlessly access and write to NTFS, exFAT, and FAT32 BitLocker-encrypted drives on a Mac.

  1. Connect the BitLocker-encrypted drive to your Mac.
  2. Download iBoysoft Bitlocker for Mac, install and open it.
  3. Click the Open button and choose “Volume mounter.”
  4. Enter your BitLocker password or recovery key to unlock the drive and access it.
