Why Does The External Hard Drive Stop Asking For Password To Decrypt?

Hello, I have been using a hard drive for 2-3 years, and every time it asks me to unlock it with a password when I connect it to my computer. Now just out of blue, it has stopped asking for the password. Has anyone encountered this issue? Let me know if there is a solution. I tried finding the drive in the "Key Chain" but had no luck when I searched for the drive's name in the top-right corner. Any regards are welcome!

I speculate that you have clicked options like Remember Me or Remember MY Password or other similar, freeing you from typing the password to decrypt the external hard drive. You can cancel off the Remember Me function on your device to let it ask for a password for the decryption. If this method makes no sense, set a password again for further security and encryption continuously.

If both two measures fail, you can back up the drive, format the external hard drive, transfer files back to it, and then enable the encryption to make it only accessible to people who have a correct passcode.
