How to Recover Overwritten Notes File On Mac?

I accidentally overwrote a Notes file when I updated it from my iPhone. Is there a way to recover the previous version of it that has been recently overwritten?

Hello, it is possible to recover your Notes file on Your Mac, you can try these methods below:

( 1 )Have iCloud backup on iPad/Mac. You can immediately turn off iCloud settings on your other Apple devices, then open Notes, and share it to another place.

( 2 )Have iCloud backup on the web. Open iCloud.com, enter your Apple ID and password, then scroll down to click Data Recovery, select your wanted Notes file, then click Restore.

( 3 )Have Time Machine backup. Launchpad > Others > Time Machine, select the location where you save Notes, look through the timeline, find your wanted ones then click Restore.

( 4 )Have the Notes file in .storedata files. Finder > Go > Go to Folder > Type ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.notes/Data/Library/Notes/ and press Enter. Cope and paste the files to the desktop, then change the file extension from .storedata to .html to make the files accessible. The files will show up in HTML format. Double-click to open them and press Command - F to find your desired data and restore it to a different destination.

( 5 )Don't have any backups or failed to find. You are suggested to utilize the professional software iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac, which can recover data without backups. After installing, select the drive you stored your Notes file in the left menu, then click Search for Lost Data. Preview and select your wanted ones, and choose Recover to save them to a different place.

Hope you can find it.
