How to Recover Photos Lost in Image Capture?

I imported photos using image capture but they were moved to a folder from my flash drive that wasn't connected to the laptop. My image capture is in default mode deleting imported photos after. Is there any way to recover those deleted photos? I am using macOS Mojave.

Sometimes, your photos may not be deleted or lost in Image Capture, you can check the folder /Private/tmp/Image Capture_Import. whether you can find your lost photos.

If not, you can use third-party software for help. I recommend you use iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac, which can help you recover any type of file from the external hard drive or internal hard drive securely and effortlessly. Instead, it supports you to recover files from an unbootable Mac. And it's fully compatible with T2 and Apple Silicon.

Step 1: Download, install, and launch iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac.

Step 2: Choose the drive you lost files and then click Search for Lost Data.

Step 3: Preview the search result and select the photos you want.

Step 4: Click Recover and choose a different location to store them.

Now, check whether you get back all the photos you want.

Good luck!
