How To Recover Deleted Files From Mac X Server?

I have been asked to look after a Mac X server ver 10.4.11 due to a company merger. I am a Windows and networking expert with little knowledge of Macs. Could someone please tell me the procedure to recover files deleted from an SMB share on the server. I have read various Mac manuals and it doesn’t say anywhere I can find. The procedure would be easy on a Windows server so I’m sure it is not difficult on a Mac.

Hello, when you want to recover deleted files on Mac, you should go to the Mac Trash and restore them immediately. Alternatively, you can utilize third-party data recovery software to complete this work as well.

Once you drag some files and documents to the MacTrash, they will not be removed at once. Mac Trash remains deleted data in 30 days so you still have the possibility to restore them back. Go to Trash > select the wanted files > right-click them > select Put Back. Then your files will be back to the original location.

If you emptied the Trash after file deletion, do not worry. The data is still stored on your device but keeps invisible and inaccessible. In such a case, a data recovery utility is needed to scan for the lost data.

iBoysoft Data Recovery Software is highly recommended that is able to scan all files and documents on your Mac computer. Feel ease to install it and recover lost data right now!
