I have to tell you that a file cannot be moved from one internal hard drive to another without being copied. A move operation is only possible when you are moving files between directories on the same partition, the same drive letter. But iBoysoft MagicMenu allows you to move files without using shortcuts in different partitions, volumes, or disks.

Even if you drag the files on the internal hard drive to another drive, you can still see the original files on the source drive. When you want to move files from one internal hard drive to another, you have to copy the files, then paste them on another drive, and delete the original files.

If you find the process is trifling and time-wasting, I suggest you apply iBoysoft MagicMenu on your Mac. With it, you can move files to other internal hard drives or external hard drives with simple clicks.

Let me show you how to move files from one internal hard drive to another one without using shortcuts here:

Step 1: Free download and install iBoysoft MagicMenu on your macOS computer.

Step 2: Right-click the files you want to move and tap the Move to button in the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Determine the inner hard drive that you want to move your files to and wait for the process to end.

This wonderful right-click enhancer is also available for you to move files on your Mac to an external hard drive. Good luck!
