How To Fix An Unreadable Partitioned USB On A Mac?

The USB ejected itself and I would guess that it has become damaged. it is now unreadable by the Disk Utility so I cannot erase or repair it. I have tried a bunch of different terminal commands but either the disk erase fails because it can't be opened or some other reason. I do not care for the data on the drive. I simply want it to be readable again.
