The external hard disk failed to mount after the upgrade to Sierra.

Hi everybody, after upgrading my iMac to macOS Sierra. There is an external hard drive formatted NTFS using Tuxera NTFS. But the external hard drive is not mounted on Finder or Desktop. Does anyone happen to know how to fix this? Help, please.

Unmount issues can happen due to compatibility issues with third-party software like Tuxera NTFS. Here are steps to fix it:

1. Uninstall Tuxera NTFS first by hitting the Apple Menu and selecting System Settings from the dropdown menu.

2. Scroll down to find Microsoft NTFS by Tuxera in the left sidebar.

3. Click Microsoft NTFS by Tuxera, and tap on the padlock icon to enter the user account password to unlock it.

4. Once the padlock is unlocked, click Uninstall Microsoft NTFS by Tuxera in the main window to begin the manual Tuxera NTFS for Mac uninstall task.

5. Then download and install iBoysoft NTFS for Mac as an alternative. iBoysoft NTFS for Mac is another popular third-party NTFS driver that allows you to read and write to NTFS drives on macOS. With the user-friendly interface, following the instructions provided by it, you can try to mount the external hard disk again successfully.
