The other day, I lost some important data on my 24’’ M1 iMac, and when I attempted to recover it using Time Machine, it said I needed to reinstall macOS but then told me I lacked sufficient space. This is a wakeup call for me to consider alternative ways to back up data. So I tried to create a bootable CD with Clonezilla to reimage the internal 256 GB drive to an external 256 GB drive, but it didn’t work. Is there another way to clone the system drive to an external drive on Mac?
Have you tried iBoysoft DiskGeeker for Mac? This tool allows you to clone the macOS system drive to an external drive for data backup. Prepare an external drive of the same size of the internal hard drive, then select the Clone feature in this tool to copy all content from the source hard drive to the destination disk.
